Volunteering is an amazing way of supporting our school and being involved in the school. There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year here at SJMS.

All volunteers at SJMS, or at any Catholic School or Parish, must complete a Catholic Diocese of Columbus Safe Environments workshop called Protecting God’s Children and complete an FBI/BCI Background Check. Regardless of your interactions with students, these requirements must be completed in order to volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities for the 2023-2024 school year:

Grandfriends’ Day

Grandfriends’ Day is a special day for grandparents and/or special friends to come visit students at SJMS and get a glimpse of what our days are like here. Volunteers will assist with welcoming visitors, assisting with crafts, distributing snacks, and helping out with all the other activity stations.

Spring Book Fair

Volunteers will support the library and help during morning and afternoon to allow students and families to opportunity to shop and purchase books.

Spring Flower Sale Distribution

Help support one of our Family Association fundraisers by helping to unload and sort spring flowers when they arrive, and distribute them to parents during carpool.

Walk-A-Thon

Each year students collect pledges and walk around school grounds to raise funds. The fundraiser serves a different need within our SJMS community each year. Volunteers work as lap counters and cheerleaders to encourage students.

Field Day

Our annual Field Day is a fun day for students! Volunteers are needed to set up and facilitate the activities.

Graduation Brunch

The Graduation Brunch is a time to celebrate our graduates. Volunteers will work in the classrooms and supervise the children so that the teachers may attend the brunch.
