Montessori Certified 3-6
Teacher
Qualifications: Candidates must be Montessori certified (AMS
or AMI) for 3-6 with a commitment to Montessori education
and hold a bachelor’s degree. We desire seasoned Montessori
teachers (minimum 3 years experience) to join our passionate
team of educators. We seek educators who are enthusiastic
lovers of life, committed to improvement, passionate about
children, team-players, confident communicators, and
dedicated to lead in an established 3-6 class.
Assistant Teacher for 3-6
Classroom
Qualifications: Candidates must be able to provide strong
support to the classroom’s lead teacher, have interest in
and knowledge of the Montessori philosophy, State required
courses to work with children and State licensing required
courses to be alone with children. This position is a
10-month contract. Hours are 8:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The
candidate should be responsible, show initiative, and be
self-motivated, creative and flexible. Applicants must be
able to work well as a team member, be committed to
Montessori education and be experience and competent with
children. Interested applicants should also possess
excellent communication skills.

certified 6-12 Montessori Teacher (AMS or AMI) to co-teach
starting in the fall of 2012. We are searching for skilled
Montessorian devoted to elementary-aged children. The
successful candidate will work on a team with three other
Montessori teachers. Elementary Montessori credentials and
bachelor's degree is required. Our ideal candidate is, a
self-motivated leader with strong classroom management
skills, highly effective parent communication, timely record
keeping, proficiency with technology, weekly lesson planning
in a team teaching setting, and an ability to keep student
expectations high while upholding an authentic Montessori

Brief Description of School and Community:
St. Joseph Montessori School (SJMS) is a Catholic Montessori
school that serves the Columbus metropolitan area. SJMS
provides Montessori instruction to approximately three
hundred students from pre-school to eight grades. The
educational opportunities provided for families enable
parents to reinforce and enrich the child’s highest learning
